Logmein has an excellent free option so you can use your netbook to access your home pc while on the go - no syncing required.

And a PS on the Toshiba, I've had 2 and lost the hard drive on both of them within the first year. It was covered and then was flawless for the next 5 years! Now the hard drive is going again on one of them but it's now 6 years old so it's time.

Ive also heard that there are issues putting a Win 7 pc on a network which is the only reason I've held off buying a new one so far and since I now consider computers disposable, it will probably be an Acer! Jmho!

I absolutely LOVE my Toshiba Mini.. the other good choice I MHO is the Acer.. Mindy will testify that I am a huge fan of Toshiba laptops.. My sister-in-law just txt'd me from Best Buy just the other day and my only response was buy Toshiba.. I ddnt care which model she bought as long as it was a Toshiba. :) And they say the battery life is 9+ hours and they mean it :) Again IMHO thats a HUGE factor.. Also the Toshiba was the ONLY one that has the ability to add internal RAM memory (will speed things up), which I did and was a no brainer to add it.

If you run Windows XP currently I would recommend you find one that runs XP.. it might be too confusing to fun XP on your regular system and 7 on the netbook..

If you plan on syncing the 2 computers ask me and I will tell you the best and simplest way to do that.. When I travel I syc my netbook to the desktop so I always have my latest and greatest with me.. it also double as a back up system.

Hey ladies, which Netbook do you recommend? I am looking to buy one
but don't know which one would be best for us techs to be able to
handle pics, Internet, client records, etc.

Mindy, I picked up my new Netbook last night then came home &
downloaded T&C. Started putting clients in. It is EXACTLY what I was
looking for. To be able to categorize or tag them for specific
services is great. The Notes feature is really what I was looking
for. For instance I'm trying out different SO gels with clients & I
can't remember from one to the next what I did unless I wrote it in
my schedule book. I have pedi clients that have something funky on
their toe and they ask if it's changed since the last time.... ah...
from six weeks ago? Now I can take pic, file it, make a reference in
notes & show them.

I did not download the Intellect version but I should probably do
that since I want to do Email specials and reminders and quicky
newsletters.... I wonder if I load all my clients in T&C can I
import my list if I decide to switch?

Appointment reminders... Sheese the list goes on.

So this is really exciting for me!!! Thank you so much for
suggesting this.
