Michelle, your in Cambridge right?  College students everywhere.  The quickest
and easiest money you could make would be to add full on waxing to your menu.
Quick, easy, not a lot of overhead or product and you are in the best area for
it.  My opinion, no massage, needs to be too quiet.  Facials, same thing.  Make
it a fun waxing and nail spot.  I worked a place in Boulder for a while called
ten20, just natural nails and waxing and great retail products.  What a place,
they showed movies and TV shows like Sex in the City in the pedicure area and
they had 2 waxing rooms that were cranking all the time.  I have done nails for
13 years and got my esthetic license two years ago for the sole purpose that I
could wax.  Have I done anything with it NO.  I haven't found the right place
to really get going with it.  Most places have the hairdressers waxing eyebrows
in the sink bowls or whatever, it's just hard to find the right place to be.  I
want
things to be my way and that is not how life works.  I have often thought of
opening just nails and waxing but I don't know if I have it in me right now.
Anyway, that is my vote of making money and keeping things simple.  Some day I
will come down and have you do my nails, I'm in Kennebunk Maine.  Just DO
IT!!!!  Good help is hard to find but find some girls that love to wax, you'll
find em.

I understand that! Hair everywhere. Hard on the washer and dryer too.

So far I'm strictly nails. I didn't really like the idea of hair beacause you
can never really clean it all. LOL that's my OCD. It would be a good money
maker though.

Thanks for the idea.

Ok y'all... I'm considering taking the big plunge and renting a space about
double the size of where I am now.  The question is, how do I make that space
pay for itself?  It's been insanely difficult finding nail techs that meet my
standards and I worry that I'll have the same trouble finding estheticians or
massage therapists.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
