Holly, wish I had a secret fix the problem to tell you, but you all
ready know. too thick. What I have learned is put it on, as thin as
I can get, then go back over it with my brush. Sometimes I even had
a tiny bit more. I have learned that the white is between a gel and
polish. I have learned to kind of glide the white gel polish, vs,
polising like we do. It has worked for me. When you have that
shadow, you only need a tad bit more. sorry I can't explain it
better. diana from indiana

I did my first french on the hands with shellac yesterday. I've
done a few client's toes that way with no problems, however on the
hands every single nail wrinkled badly. It didn't look any better
with the top coat on. I didn't charge the client and now she has to
come back on Tuesday to redo it.
The method I used was to apply negligee first then swipe the free
edge. Cure. Apply white. Cure....wrinkles!
What exactly causes this wrinkling? I get that I likely had it on
too thick, but it seemed like it needed to be that way to get even
coverage with no shadows.
