Angela,
You're 100% right.  The extra coat of Gel does increase the soak off time.
For my product, it's unnecessary.  The air dry will seal and protect without
all the added time curing, soaking....

And, in my testing....boy if you over cure the UV Topcoat you do lose shine
in some cases.  I just rejected my first sample I tested because the window
of "failure" was too small.  Just a little extra time and BOOM lost shine.
The airdry is sooooo less complicated!  LOL
