Jill, Rhonda is quite correct here. The lamp you are using is your problem.
Check out the lamps $49 and $69 that will cure your product

Jill,
The Pro Finish lamp has 4 watt bulbs in it. It is nothing more than
a glorified polish dryer. You need a minimum of 9 watts to cure
Shellac or any type of gel. You can get an inexpensive single bulb
light for $20 at Premiere. You have to do four fingers, four
fingers then thumbs to get a correct cure, but it will give you a
much better end result than that Pro Finish lamp until you get a LED
light. Be careful with those too since they are pricey and not all
things cure in them.........
Dashing Diva and Star BOTH have awesome four bulb tunnel lamps for
about $70 and makes life so much easier since you can cure a whole
hand at a time.
Hope this helps!

It took me a little while to figure out the right timing to use
Shellac with my old Pro Finish light. That being said, the peeps that
I've put into it have been doing well. Now, 3 of my clients have
called to say their polish has chipped. What's up with that?
Until I find the right LED light (any suggestions?), this is the lamp
I have to use. Still waiting for 2 weeks now to receive info from
Gelish.
Meanwhile, has anyone else had a chipping Shellac?
