I started 2 weeks ago doing waterless pedi's and it is the LOVE!!!!
Most of my peeps I could tell were apprehensive, but once they felt
their feet BEFORE I massaged lotion on them, they were convinced. This
is far more moisturizing than using water, but if I hadn't tried it
myself I would never have believed it. Don't let anyone tell you that
you need a big whirlpool jetted throne or even a small portable pedi
tub to do a great pedi, because it's just not true!

On my site www.jillsnails.com there is a photo of the chair set up I
use, which is the same one I've been using for years. I put a big easy
chair (minus the ottoman it came with) up on 4"x4" blocks to give it
some height. That way the clients' foot can rest easily on my knee. To
fit in with the new salon colors, I used a shabby-chic method of
arranging a chenille bed spread over the chair, as olive green chair
color would not match the new wall paint.

I'm on the lookout for a used recliner, but I'm waiting for just the
right color, size and price. This will cut out the need for the client
to lift and lower their feet as I work on each one. In the meantime, I
tweaked Jaime Schrabeck's waterless spa pedi steps to help make the
flow of the waterless pedi system work for my set up. Give it some
thought and you can make it work for you, too!
