Here is an idea for your shirt, or for future clothing we get polish  on.
If there is any material we could clip from the hem, we could put  the 
polish on it and try the acetone, and various methods others have  suggested.
 
I did have a favorite shirt that a teeny weeny bit of polish on that I  was 
afraid to remove. It wasn't that
noticeable so I just left it. After a while it wasn't such a favorite shirt 
 so I tried acetone and there were no repercussions which made me very 
happy :  )   I wish I had thought about clipping a piece of the material which  
dawned on me for you : )
