Marsha,

Since Elaine is out of the country I send an email to the office regarding this bulb question. Chrissy had me laughing so hard! "Who in the world is asking such a technical question and a bulb is a bulb isn't it?" I explained that you guys are not the average techs, that you think outside the box and are always pushing the envelope pasts its breaking point!

We discussed, I explained some of what I know, about Diana's nasty bulbs, about everyone's words to buy only Phillips bulbs, explained further about the UVA & B and what I know (not all that much) about the wave length they emit.

What Chrissy and I came up with is this: The inexpensive bulbs that Diana bought may indeed have the right socket to fit in her lamp, but the bulb is obviously not emitting the proper UV things (hahaa) to properly cure gels. Hence the less expensive bulb. Does that make sense? I still have a tweak out to Elaine, but won't hear from her until sometime next week most likely.

Our bulbs are $17.95 each, they cure gels, should be replaced at the same intervals as others (3-6 months depending on use), so one might infer that these bulbs are the same quality as the Phillips, even though they don't say Phillips on them.

Lorraine I appreciate you being "on top" of this issue. My question is, though, are the Eco bulbs the same quality as the LE or the new Shellac lamp's bulbs. I've read on this list, somewhere in the past, that Phillips bulbs are what we should use. True?

Subject: Re: NailTech:: Which lamp?

Marsha,

The eco lamp is great, a great price too! It is a 4 bulb tunnel type 36w and should cure just about anything out there with enough room for the whole hand at once. The base comes out easily for room for toes, there is 2 timer settings, 90 and 120 seconds.

The Master Gel Kit is a fantastic deal if you need more gel. You get all 25 colors PLUS the lamp FREE as well as wipe, Removal Solution, Color Display Sticks, brushes woohoo over $110 of freebies!

The lamp alone is $69 and if you add 1 combination of Buy 2 Get 1 Free, you will get free shipping too!

I can't wait for the new CND lamp any longer. I need to order one that will cure the range of gel polish I have. Axxium, Eco and Shellac. Anyone have experince using any of the following lamps with all of those gel polishes: Eco, Light Elegance or Nailite? I'm looking for a lamp which will cure the full hand at one time. TIA!
