I had a client who had a split nail all though she wasn't a hand washer (
retired) but was a gardener she found the product called trind and it helped
her grow out a split nail that was damaged when she was a child.

I to would recomend a fiberglass overlay but with maybe backscratchers.

Index nail on right (dominate) hand has split at free-edge from long ago
injury. Nail plate on that side of nail grows more slowly than the rest of
the nail and has a constant split. Cannot wear enhancements. Have tried SOG
-- because of the slower grow on the injured side she has had to file to
keep the nail comfortable. She is a continuous cuticle oil user. She comes
every two weeks for natural nail manicure and her cuticles are always a
mess, ragged and dry. Any suggestions s to what more we can do for this poor
finger nail? Many thabnks. Pat. Pat. SmithMedical
