it was awesome, again, Deb and Nails had a wonderful bbq........great time.
The show was PACKED...SLAMMED.. Sunday morning. Hasn't been like
that for a couple of years. Great to see our industry busy again.
Nothing major new in the nail department. Like deb said, gel polish
companies all over the place. All about the same price.
over the years at this show, always have had more ac companies...this
year, more gel companies. times are changing.
The feathers for the hair, Thanks Steven Tyler, were SOLD OUT...Big
hit this year. Couldn't get any for the girls at work.
No rain this year either. except from the condo above, when they
were cleaning the patio.
And Lynnette, you so need to go shopping with Kristi Mc. She is
worse than you!!! I frigin bought this nail art pen thingy cause she
convinced me I had to HAVE IT...Yeah right...lolo

wowsers.. the Networking event was amazing.. I met so many new faces
I have no idea who belongs to what name or email address now! I saw
so many gel polish companies it would make your head spin.. not sure
if this is good or bad, but I suppose just like there are a slew of
acrylic and gel companies, it only figures the same would happen
with gel polish, I guess it's here to stay :) Next year we hope to
ramp it up another hours's worth too :)
The weather was beyond perfect.. not one drop of rain, not one crack
of thunder from Thurs to Tues Am.. and the humidity was low enough
that it was actually pleasant in FL in June!! Nothing earth
shattering new that I saw.. LCN had this cool new magnetic polish..
I saw some very cute pedi slippers, a little pricey but very cute..
The show was jamming Sun & Mon, classes nice and full when I sopped
in to take some pics. BTW please take notice how nice my pics came
out! I have been seriously reading the camera manual and playing
with the settings and got some amazing shots - hoping Santa brings
me a SLR this year! I closed up the NAILS Mag booth, so I was there
from 3-5PM on Monday and took a few pics of some awesome nails that
stopped by including Kazuko Tomiyama from Tokyo who took 1st place
in 3D Nail art.. I got an awesome pic of her work!
I visited several new companies and some oldies who have not
exhibited in ages (read-Nailite) I can not ever remember them having
a booth in Orlando but I do know the previous owners did years ago..
It was nice to see Lisa & Ryan there working so hard! Poor Shelley
from Sparkles - her product got misplaces and they scrambled until
mid-day on Sun when their stuff finally showed up - then they ROCKED
the house! Athena's new Glitz Lips was cooking 3 isles over also,
till well after the "Show is now closed" announcement!
Those of you who attended the Network Event, be on the lookout in
the next 2-3 days for the follow up email with all the sponsors info
so you can thank them..
Good food, great seeing old and new friends, tons of networking,
sharing, hugs, laughs and of course plenty of adult beverages to go around!
OK thats it for now.. I got this pile here I have to wade through!
