Hi deb I have a Droid x and i run my whole salon with it. I use the google calendar. It auto syncs in the background and now has a setting for default appointment lengths. I set it for 30 minutes. I can also set them to repeat every 2 or 3 weeks til infinity if I want. I also have several different calendars for work, kids appointments, kids sports, school, etc, all show up as different colors. If you have contacts already in your google account they will automatically sync to the phone when you set up that account. When adding new contacts i set them to sync with google.
As far as apps go, I have one that's called registroid. It's a cash register for your Droid and if you use square after you put in the services you can choose cash, check or square as the payment method and when choosing square it automatically launches it. It's free to try and $40 to purchase but it tracks my services and gives reports. Also has Taxable and non Taxable keys that you can customize. The third app I use the most is points plus diary for weight watchers. Free and absolutely amazing. Scans food and tells you the points for major food brands. Then adds it to your diary for the day if you choose. Last hate the built in text app. Love handcent sms. Customizable in lots of ways including different sounds for different contacts. Ok, rambled enough. Love my Droid lol Bonnie On Sep 2, 2011 11:20 PM, "Debbie Doerrlamm" <[email protected]> wrote: > OK ladies I did it.. got me a shiny new droid today.. my eyes hurt > from playing :) Moving my music over there now. so tell me what MUST > have apps do I need??? > > cause I KNOW Rhonda's gonna ask..
