I am a Salon owner and of course we are all a little crazy!!! I have one booth rental and one commission renter pays $400 a month I provide her with desk, chairs, dust vent, and UV lamp she buys all her own product. I also provide all coffee, tea etc for staff and clients all toiletries, towels, laundry services,internet,phone... she just buys what she needs to do nails. My commission staff is 60/40 I take 40% she is a hairdresser I provide all salon sundries all she brings is her tools. I also have cleaning staff so all we are responsible for is our own disinfection of tools. All she pays me for above her commission is for color or perms and that is $10 for each one used. We BOTH sit down together every week as I pay her once a week we go through the book double check everything I enter the total into my accounting program and it makes her a paycheck it is all quite simple really. The only thing I have a bitch about being the owner is my staff is always always late for work!! sssssoooo wanna come work for me lol
