I have a bit that is rounded on the end and it's soft, however maybe your prep needs to be looked at are you following manufactures instructions and are you removing all dust and Pterygum from the nail plate also are you etching with the way the nail grows which is cuticle to free edge not side to side. Also I had to stop using a fluffy brush and starting using a plastic manicure brush to brush the dust from cuticle to the free edge!
