Not necessary.  All lists are required by RFC 2142 to have a "-request"
address -- and thankfully, most do.  That address almost always suffices
to check bidirectional mail delivery.   (And in situations where it
appears to be broken, "-owner" should reach the person(s) best situated
to diagnose the problem.)
