The Board of Directors of NewNOG would like to hire a full time Executive Director.
NewNOG is a non-profit organization created by the Internet community in North America to handle the mailing list, conferences and other activities presently called NANOG. The job is an 18 month contract interim position to help shepherd the new organization through the initial phase of transitioning responsibilities from Merit, who currently manages the NANOG activities, to NewNOG. After the initial term, a permanent ED will be selected. An interim ED who discharges their duties well will be considered a strong candidate for the permanent position. The ideal candidate has fund raising experience, as well as experience running conferences with at least many hundreds of attendees. Familiarity with the NANOG community is a definite plus.
