This is assuming that no customer's device has an access to the same
network, in which case you just happily reset the password or even the
device as a whole, either remotely or by telling the customer to push and
hold a button on the device.

Though I understand that this could be less convenient in certain scenarios.

Most of the time though[citation needed], at least a couple of devices with
the wireless network access are there.
