Sweet! I can't wait to try out the logging. One thing I would like to implement is having the LogPrefix stuff added by default - you would be able to just specify Log.WriteLine and have the prefix/indent added by default.

Once this stuff has baked in CVS for a while, perhaps we should release 0.8.2....

Hi all,

I've updated the cvs tree with some significant changes.

1.) We are now using Log4Net for debug logging. There are many things I
wanted to be able to watch, that simply were out of the scope of "verbose"
messages. So I have included log4net 1.4 beta 6 as a dependency. This
logging is for debugging purposes and will not be enabled in release
builds... (need to work on the build file and release plan to make this
happen)

2.) NAnt Schema task. This task is actually the reason I started working on
NAnt in the first place. I had stopped working on it about 9 months ago. I
have just updated it and checked it in. It generates valid schema (although
it is not complete. see #3 below). This schema is mostly meant to *help*
with validation, and xml code completion in visual studio. (I have tested
this in vs.net, not 2003) We do not have enough metadata to completely
define and enforce a schema. I hope to address this before a 1.0 release;
maybe.

<nantschema output="c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
.NET\Common7\Packages\schemas\xml\nant-schema.xsd"
target-ns="http://nant.sourceforge.net/schema/"/>

You can get it from: http://nant.sf.net/schema/nant-current.xsd

Note: When I get back from my trip to the dessert I will automate this into
the nightly builds. I will also put up nightly doc generation.

3.) Changed code to not use InitializeTask/Element if possible. This allows
more metadata defining the elements and attributes. This allows the NAnt
Schema generate to make xsd for these nested elements.
FROM:
protected override void InitializeTask(XmlNode taskNode) {
            foreach (XmlNode optionNode in taskNode) {
                if(optionNode.Name.Equals("arg")) {
                    XmlNode valueNode = optionNode.Attributes["value"];
                    if (valueNode != null) {

_args.Add(Project.ExpandProperties(valueNode.Value));
                    }

                    XmlNode fileNode  = optionNode.Attributes["file"];
                    if (fileNode != null) {

_args.Add(Project.GetFullPath(Project.ExpandProperties(fileNode.Value)));
                    }
TO:
[BuildElementArray("arg")]
public ArgElement[] ArgElements{
   set {
       ArgElement[] args = value as ArgElement[];
           foreach(ArgElement arg in args){
               _args.Add(arg.File==null ? arg.Value : arg.File);
           }
       }
   }
}
