Gert,

I get nothing, so I've exported the PKG_CONFIG environment
variable (export PKG_CONFIG=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig)...
and now I get the following error messages:

Note that I've built the mono stuff with previews
(--with-preview=yes).

It looks like mono has still problems...
