Sure it does. You just pass the solution file as the project="..."
attribute, and it works fine. The documentation probably isn't very

You pass these as /property options. For example
<msbuild project="MySolution.sln">
<arg value="/property:Configuration=Debug"/>
<arg value="/property:OutputPath=some-other-path" />

Use aspnet_compiler, via an <exec> task.
