I think it would. Decoupling Nant from a specific NUnit version would be very useful. Would you have to specify the path the EXE also? I personally don't install NUnit and basically follow the advice of Mike Roberts's How to setup a .Net Development tree articles. (With a few changes following some of JP Boodhoo's suggestions.)
