Hi All,
I've been working on getting a VDProj file to build using NAntContrib. I
used Jim's excellent converter tool to convert the vdproj to an NAnt MSI
Task. The MSI did build, and it installed.
However, there were some differences between it and our normal build.
First, When VS.NET builds the VDProj, the MSI gets output along with a
Setup.exe and a Setup.ini file. Also, when I did the MSI task with
MSITaskTemplate.msi the custom dialogs we created did not show up. When
I did it with MSITaskTemplateVS.msi it actually didn't show any UI.
So I have two questions:
1) Does anyone know what the Setup.exe/Setup.ini generated by VS.NET is
used for in regards to VDProj projects?
2) Is there any reason custom dialogs wouldn't work with NAntContrib/MSI?
Trying desperately to keep VS.NET off the build machine...
Cory
