Update: $ grep video/dv /usr/share/mime/globs video/dv:*.dv video/dv:*.dv video/dv:*.dif Looks like all these extensions are ok. (Anyway, there seems to be two pass filetype sniffing/guessing present in nautilus. I hope someone can explain what's behind the curtains.)
