Hi, with GNOME 3.4, you should be able to do this from the "Disks" application; see [1] for more details. If you want to do this manually or from a script, Nautilus or D-Bus are not the right places to look at; you should be able to use the "gvfs-mount" utility shipped with GVfs for this purpose.
