I'm sorry, I did not foresee this misunderstanding and I can understand why
you found it frustrating. I agree that bug 697739 being marked as a
duplicate of bug 676897 is unfortunately misleading. It may have been by
mistake. However, it would not be nice of me to go and overwrite the
resolution set by a maintainer of the product.

But the above quote is also unfair in its oversimplification of the
situation, because I did not mark you bug report as a duplicate of a "very
opposite report". I marked it as a duplicate of bug 697739 and I stand
that, while it is not a literal duplicate, the underlying "bug" – missing
tree sidebar – is the same, hence a duplicate.

Despite that, in order to avoid further misunderstanding, and given your
emphasis on it being a feature request rather than a missing feature
report, I'm revert your report to UNCONFIRMED status. (Not that it makes
much of a difference, other than a bureaucratic one; it is not my role to
make a decision feature requests.)
