What would be intersting are some speed figures.
The one I gave were from my MPB with 2GHZ Intel.

As looking in the nsd/config.c whole lotta things
got into there... some arcane backslash parsing
code etc pp... brrr...
Ultimately the nsconfigrw should be plug-replacement
for most of the things in config.c, or?

What we haven't figured out is: how the changed
params are saved (made persistent) when a change
occurs? This is by no means trivial to do.
Perhaps the easiest would be to have some kind of
dbm-like storage (qdbm is nice and LGPL) plus
some utility to display the values inthere...
Just a thought...
