this is part of the result when I ran the configuration file: checking for compress2 in -lz... yes checking for OpenSSL libraries... Trying to use directory /opt/include and -L/opt/lib checking openssl/evp.h usability... no checking openssl/evp.h presence... no checking for openssl/evp.h... no checking for OPENSSL_init_ssl in -lssl... no checking for SSL_library_init in -lssl... no checking for PEM_read_bio_DHparams in -lcrypto... no configure: error: OpenSSL support requested but not available port list openssl returned this port list openssl openssl @1.1.1f devel/openssl I changed —with-openssl=/opt to —with-openssl=/opt/include I ran the configure again, make clean, and make.
