Hi As we have discussed earlier, the main obstacle in implementing this rehashing feature has been the "exit on error" scheme used in various places, socket setup and conf parsing being the the two most critical parts. Now that those have been fixed from "raging" mode to reporting mode, rehashing can be used without fear of abrupt termination.
I begun with the safest feature first: appending new exports and ignoring other configuration changes.
