Re: You wrote: I caution everyone to obtain the specific checklists/requirements from each of your potential customers and comply with them.
Im not sure what planet Verizon was on when they announced at the 2002 NEBS seminar that they were attempting to combine all RBOC requirements into the Verizon checklist. See SIT.NEBS.TE.NPI.2002.010 section 4.2. Although I am "sure" the intentions were "good", a unilateral attempt to document what the other RBOCs requirements are is dangerous at best. I can list a few Qwest and SBC initiatives from the 2001 NEBS seminar which are missing from the Verizon Document. Qwest: Lower Acoustic Noise levels for RTs due to complaints filed by the PUC. Qwest: Exposure to High Temperature Testing for RTs at 125F (not 115F) in GR-487-CORE. SBC: Immunity to Voltage Transients on DC Input. etc. Notably missing from the Seminar this year were the 3 other RBOCs (Qwest, SBC, BellSouth) AT&T was the only other Service Provider present. So, in summary use the checklist for Verizon only. They have done a great job defining what is important to them. But I couldn't agree more that the Verizon checklist is not the source for other Service Providers. Regards Nazeeh Shaheen Manager, Approvals Occam Networks
