2008 ICSA Nationals Competitors and Coaches:

A few things you should know about as you prepare for Nationals:

*
        For the Women's Nationals and Gill Dinghy Nationals, A-division will be
sailed in Salve Regina's 2006 fleet of 420s with 420 rudders and Gold Standard
North/Vanguard sails. New jibs will arrive later this week for the fleet.
B-division in both events will be sailed in Brown's 2005 fleet of 420s with FJ
rudders and brand new Winters mains and jibs. There will not be a fleet
switch, both divisions will be locked in each fleet.
*
        Courses will be Windward/Leewards with weather offsets and leeward
gates, and possibly some triangle configuration. No trapezoids.
*
        For the APS Team Race Nationals, Brown's fleet of 18 420s with FJ
rudders will be used. The mainsails will be the ICSA supplied Vanguard/North
team race mains. Brown's new Winters jibs will be used. Obviously the
Collegiate N course will be used.
*
        Dress Code: Jacket & tie/Dresses will be required at the Awards
ceremonies for each event. The New York Yacht Club does have a no-denim policy
on the grounds, but that is mainly enforced at the main house where we will
only be holding the Team Racing banquet. Other functions will be in the
Sailing Center. Shorts and a t-shirt (and shoes) will be fine.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. We are
looking forward to seeing you in Newport soon.
