Sister Esther Open @ Salve Regina University Saturday Nov. 3, 2012 Saturday Report; Sailors gather at Salve’s new sailing center at 9:30am for the first annual Sister Esther Open. Temperature was 50 degrees in the morning and clouds cleared in the afternoon leaving for good racing conditions. Breeze started at 10-12 knots with puffs over 15 knots coming over the Newport Bridge in the northeast. 6 races were sailed in each division with no protests. With daylight savings time staring Sunday, racing will start promptly at 10am to ensure enough races get off before it starts to get dark. No protests and no breakdowns were filed.
