*Wefer and Plough are named the NEISA COED SAILORS OF THE WEEK*

Cambridge, MA —  10/4/13 Matthew Wefer '14 and Avery Plough '14 of
Dartmouth are named the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week after winning
A-division at the Erwin Schell Trophy, hosted by MIT.  Wefer and Plough
were impressive in a difficult A-division in light and shifty conditions,
finishing in the top five in 7 of 9 races, and winning their division by 5
points.  Their performance led the Big Green to the overall victory at the
NEISA Fall Championship for the 73rd Schell Trophy.

*Lambert  and Crawford are named the NEISA WOMEN’S SAILORS OF THE WEEK*

Cambridge, MA —  10/4/13 Deirdre Lambert '15 and Carissa Crawford '14 of
Dartmouth are named the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after their
impressive performance in winning A-division at the Victorian Coffee Urn,
hosted by Harvard.  Lambert and Crawford finished in the top four in every
race and accumulated just 21 points over 7 races in very light and shifty
conditions on the Charles River.  Their performance led the big Green to
second overall and the top finishing NEISA team in the 18-team event.

Congratulations to Dartmouth, Tufts, Yale, Connecticut College, Boston
College, Roger Williams, and MIT on qualifying for the Atlantic Coast
Dinghy Championship to be held November 16-17 at the College of Charleston.
Congrats as well to the following teams on qualifying for the Atlantic
Coast Women’s Championship, November 16-17, at Cornell: Dartmouth, Boston
College, Yale, MIT, Brown,  URI, UVM, and Coast Guard.  The University of
New Hampshire Wildcats won the New England Dinghy Tournament on their home
waters.  The Tufts Jumbos won the Nickerson Trophy for the New England
Freshmen Championship at Mystic Lake and the opening of the new Bacow
Sailing Pavilion.  Yale won the 16-team Dave Perry Trophy on their home
waters as well.   Tufts also won the Providence College Invite sailed out
of the Rhode Island Yacht Club.  Good luck to all of the sailors
representing NEISA at the ICSA/Laser Performance Men’s and Women’s
Singlehanded National Championships, November 8-10, in Newport, RI.
