revenue will dip 4% this year to $33.9 billion from $35.5

Lucent allies with Riverstone, 09/30/04

Lucent this week said it will resell metro Ethernet routers from 
Riverstone Networks and combine them with Juniper core routers

Nortel details plans to lay off 3,250 employees, 09/30/04

Nortel will lay off approximately 1,400 employees in the U.S. 
and about 950 in Canada, with those employees to be notified by
