    Have you ever considered why God created the seasons of the year? The changing of seasons is such a visual indication of how frequently and easily our world can change. Each year we see trees turn to red and gold, then loose their leaves, followed by the blooming of bright green leaves.

    Is it possible that God allows our world to change so much to demonstrate the truth of Hebrews 13:8? This passage says "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." No matter what changes occur around us, God is always an unchanging beacon on which we can focus. In Clarence McCartney's sermon "The Same Yesterday, Today, Forever," practical applications are given to help us understand why it is necessary for us to have an unchanging God in our lives.
