IBM OPENS ON DEMAND TECH CENTER

technologies, IBM on Monday announced the opening of a new technology
center in Gaithersburg, Md., to help users implement a number of
different orchestration and provisioning capabilities.

U.K. GOVERNMENT HIT WITH ANOTHER LARGE COMPUTER FAILURE

LONDON -- IT system failures continued to plague the U.K. government
this week, when as many as 80,000 civil servants working for the
Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) had to deal with what is being
described in the local press as the biggest computer crash in government

ON-DEMAND APPS DEMAND A RICHER BROWSER

Can the browser meet the demands of on-demand? On-demand apps are by
definition Web apps. That won't come as a shock to enterprises because
most of the latest internally deployed enterprise apps -- besides a few
