Am I right, you have Solaris7 running on your Laptop ? with a binary disrib of XFree ? If so, please upgrade to Solaris 8, the Xfree-4.1.0 modules are native supported in 8, up from patchrevision: 108653-27 (Xsun patch) curr: -37 following RFE is implemented there: 4428762 Solaris/Intel Xserver internals not compat w/XFree86 ddxen You will also need two packages SFWxf86dr, SFWxf86du if you can't get them contact me, I will provide them, and If you can't get the OS also.
