At mplayer's homepage there is a section about Xv on neomagic chipsets, in that section there is a link to some binary drivers, check it out at http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/video.html#2.3.1.2.5 However I do not know if these drivers contain all applicable patches or if they even work since i haven't tried them myself.
