The builtin mode ModeLine "1024x768" 65.0 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -hsync -vsync works fine on my NM2230. Can you send your Xserver log (often /var/log/XFree86.0.log) - I'm puzzled by you saying that Xfree86 probes it as 800x600 ? -- Dr. Andrew C.
