Ah, yes, it is. SSPI was on-by-default for non-SSL connections in
0.25.x but shouldn't have been, I hadn't noticed until you asked. With
the auth code refactoring in 0.26.0 that got fixed - the 0.26.0
behaviour is as intended.
I'll (belatedly) document this in the NEWS file, sorry it wasn't there
before.
