Hi Alon, sorry for the slow response, it's been a busy month! I've not really seen much in the discussion to change my mind; I think the only useful thing to add to neon here would be an interface to directly import an (X509 *, EVP_PKEY *) pair as a client cert object. I'll add that to the TODO list; can't say when I'd get round to doing it myself so patches would certainly be welcome!
