About 10 or 12 years ago a photographer friend of mine bought a couple
of the earliest versions of these 'sabers'.
 He wanted to use them in a photo shoot, and they did wind up looking
pretty nifty. But they are mechanically quite fragile, and they were
broken soon after.

 Just something to keep in mind.
