Nice! I doubt you want the setting buttons sticking out so far, as you know the watch does not need to be set often, and bumping them can result in setting when not desired.
If you look at this view <http://www.cathodecorner.com/nwl-render/nw-top-right.jpg> you can see that almost the entire tubes are visible, when viewed at an angle. I think the crystal size is fine. I don't see "ladies" anywhere in this....it's still a big watch! But that's because Nixie tubes are big.
