Well I wasn't one of the original winners of one of the Noritake VFD displays -- but I just got an email from Noritake offering me a free sample anyways. Did anyone else get that email?
I looked it up -- it's a $62 retail display. I use a similar LCD display on products at work, LCD backlit, for under $8. Looks like VFDs have a way to go to compete with LCDs on price.
