A friend of mine has one of these beasts, it is really large! He drove all the way through Germany to pick it up, and when he opened the wooden box it was packed in (about one cubic meter!) he realised it was in there upside down, so the mercury was in all the arms. Luckily, none was broken. Now the rectifier sits in a showcase that has been explicitly designed for holding this tube. Note that is it screwed into a concrete wall so that not even an elephant running against it could break it loose.

Oops. Could it be a scam? Still nice tube. There are miniature versions of these rectifiers. Have the same look and are more manageable. And extremely difficult to find.
