Those interested in the odd end of the dekatron field might want to check out eBay item 200832030306. It's a Russian A201 tube, which is something called an inverse dekatron or polyatron. Central disc is a *cathode* and the pins are *anodes*. This technology was developed in the mid-60s with the aim of producing a tube which needed smaller driving pulses than normal dekatrons and could drive nixie tubes directly without any intervening active components. You can think of it as a logical extrapolation of the auxiliary anode tubes made by ETL and copied by RFT, though they are normal polarity tubes. This is the only commercially produced polyatron design that I'm aware of. No connection to the seller etc etc. Well, other than having just bought a couple of the tubes from the listing that is... Cheers, Jon.
