Just started hammering down here - the cellar under my workshop now has 4ft of water in it :( SWMBO is out buying bits to get our pumps going again...
Weird thing is that those places around us that normally flood, i.e. flood in most normal winters, have escaped this time for some reason. We live on top of one of the highest hills in the Weald - lifted the concrete slab over the well at the weekend - the water was about 15cm/6in from the top, i.e. the water table at the top of the hill is only 6 inches down...
