EDIT - Philips bought out Mullard in 1928 but still marketed tubes under the Mullard label - I should use Wikipedia more often! Valvo was a German company - Valvo started as Radio-Roehren-Fabrik GmbH (RRF GmbH) in 1924 as the vacuum tube manufactuing arm of C.H.F. Mueller GmbH which only produced X-ray tubes. The company was renamed Valvo in 1926. Phillips bought C.H.F. Mueller in 1927 and Valvo in 1932. The company was split in the 1980s and sold in 1999.
