Just about. You hit the frequency limit for common (like GC10B) neon
dekatrons when trying to get a flicker free refresh for the image.
Trying to avoid the high speed dekatrons. The clock time keeping is easy
enough with dekatrons.

But you can use dekatrons for the division, right ?

A small desk clock then...

Then you'll not be surprised by what I have sketched in a

My next challenge is a circle graphics clock without using a
microcontroller.

neat!
(and if you can do it with TTL, you should be able to do it
with vacuum tubes)

Hi All
Here's a scope clock that Nick Stock and I are just
finishing off. It
was inspired by a AEG Paper from 1967 that Martin
(Dekatron42) sent to me.
Two case designs, a common horizontal case and a vertical
case like a
Simpsons MirroScope.
Details are here:
http://www.sgitheach.org.uk/scope4.html
Open Design - all Eagle, Gerbers, STL and DXF files
available on my
Public Dropbox.
No source code as there is no microcontroller!
Enjoy Grahame
