As a fellow novice and amateur I would echo what others have said re a breakout board for a tube and controller to test and get started. I found some of the tube footprints available publicly have errors in layout or pin assignment.
Using LEDs in place of the tubes is a safer way to test your design and programming and worked great for me with both the K155ID1 and HV5530 drivers. I would add that the IN-14's you've chosen, having wires and not pins, don't lend themselves for easy removal once soldered so perhaps consider adding a small separate board to allow you to rotate or swap tubes in the future (see here <https://www.pcbgogo.com/feedback/IN_14_Nixie_tube_breakout_board.html> for an example). The footprint for HV supply looks like the NCH8200. Go for the official version and avoid the clones. I found the latter to be problematic over time. Good luck with it!
