I just had Richard Zeier, a former employee of Martin Sound who used to make
Neotek consoles, modify my Neotek Elite (again).

Before having Richard do the mods, other "mod guys" told me the long laundry
list of things they would do to the Neotek. But when I asked if they had
worked on one.. things got sketchy. Richard has built these consoles from the
ground up and knows them as well as anyone.

Basically, all the TL07x's are swapped out with Burr Browns in both the
master, monitor, and line input channels. Depending on the use, different BB
opamps were utilized. All the electrolytics are replaced with Nichicon HE's
with WIMA bypass caps. Certain caps are bypassed. A new audiophile
transistor
package was put in the balanced out of the master section.

It is beyond a night and day difference. The master section alone will make
your kick drums sound beefier and thicker and more present, all your
ambience and depth will become way more noticeable. the lower mids will lose
their
GUNK and remain crystal clear, and the top end will be smoother and deeper.
It was very affordable for the mods considering how world class this console
sounds, and I recommend that if you are serious about your audio then get some
upgrades done, starting with the master and monitor sections, then doing
some channels.
