Hey all-

My tech finished recapping my 1E and it sounds a world better. He also put some higher speed chips in the master, LT1359's (I think) and increased some cap values so the desk has a much better low end now..

As a test we rechipped one of the channel inputs and the results were not subtle. OPA4137's plus one LT1359 and a 49710. The clarity and purity of the eq is much, much nicer.

After hearing this we are thinking of doing the whole desk. My question is, should we go with 1359's where possible? That will get a little pricey, relatively speaking. Direct from LT they are $6.80 a pop in quantities over 100.

Also, do the OPA4134 sound plus versions make a big difference vs the 4137's? I think he got the 4137's because we couldn't find dip's in the other.

Either way the chips offer a nice improvement. If we are going to go through the hassle I just want to get the right parts and spend money wisely.

Thanks for your input-
Mark
